Theo Miller –
I recently purchased a 2008 Triton bass boat with a Mercury Optimax 150 and only 14 hours on it. I bought it from a coworker who had purchased it in 2011 and never used it a single time. It sat in a climate controlled storage area for 7 years, and he was moving after retirement to Philadelphia and decided to sell the boat. I bought it with the perception that it was basically still a new boat! Well I was surprised that after having it checked out by Amazing outboard, that fuel pumps, alternator, water pump, gas lines, etc. needed to be replaced. $2500 worth of repairs just to start out!

We had a 2012 Lund with a 30EFI merc and it was the best motor ever. It never had any problems. It never really needed to be serviced except for oil changes and that was it. We were really happy with that motor and it was the best. Amazing outboard highly recommended

My Mercury outboard motor is over 21 years old and it still starts with the first pull. It runs great. No issues or problems with it since the day I bought it over 21 years ago. It’s a Mercury 2.5 hp outboard motor.
Ethan Gagne –
The best on the water hands down. Nothing else compares…
Jacob Richard –
Better than any dealer out there. These guys listen
Felipe Garrido –
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
Henry Roy –
The motor performs great really good in shallow water got about 15-18 mph on a 12 ft jon boat had massive torque for a four stroke to really good motor been having mine for about 3 years and stills runs ans starts great
William Robinson –
Still waiting to use it. Mercury still beats the others.
Gustavo Chávez –
I bought this as an auxiliary for my 1 ton ComPac 19.
While I bought this for my smaller boat I had to use it to move my 29 ft Seafarer which weighs 6600 pounds. It did it with ease!

Comments about Mercury Marine 6hp 4-Stroke Outboard, 15″ Shaft Length
I ran the same generation motor in 3.5 hp size in my 10 ft jon boat, but wanted a little more power in a motor that I could still carry by hand. Only 16 lb heavier, this 6 hp is “night and day” difference compared to the 3.5. Gets boat on plane at half throttle instead of full, adds a reverse gear and just feels more responsive. Love my 3.5 hp but REALLY love the 6 hp, no regrets, highly recommended for a small/light boat (mine is 87 lb).

Alfredo González –
Great engine to power my small inflatable boat.
Sebastian Girard –
I had my outboard motor changed here. The team is reliable and competent. Everything went great and went quickly. Also easily accessible for questions afterwards.
Mason Bouchard –
I know my motor is pretty new but I love the outboard. So far so good. I just winterized the fuel system, put in new fuel filter and flushed the motor, then fogged it. She’s asleep for the winter. Can’t wait until spring.
